The Witnesses 9: The First Deacons

Despite brutal persecution, the church continued to flourish. As the Jesus community grew, so did the need for leaders to tend to the flock by teaching, healing, praying with and taking care of those in need. The apostles chose seven men as deacons, leaders appointed to help with the growing movement.
